I have had the good fortune to receive training from several of the senior Goju-Shorei instructors including: Soke Dave McNeill, Master Ken Mammen, Master Ross Briggs, Master Gene Green, and Sensei Marta Azzam.  I earned a 1st kyu brown belt in Goju-Shorei Karate and a 3rd kyu brown belt in Goju-Shorei Weapons from these instructors.

I also had the good fortune to receive training from other senior instructors from the martial arts community in northern Nevada. 

I have trained with Grandmaster Glenn Ristine, chief instructor of Integrated Martial Solutions.  Grandmaster Ristine is also a senior instructor of Dillman Karate International (DKI) and Kyusho-jitsu Kenkyukai (KJK). I earned a 1st kyu brown belt in KJK from Grandmaster Ristine. I have also trained at two of the KJK Annual Gathering seminars in Madison, WI.

I have also trained in the healing art of Seifukujutsu from Ken Eddy, Kyoshi-Oisha, of Mizu Shin Tao.  I have completed three courses totaling 500 hours of instruction in: 1) Nihon Kaifuku Anma, 2) Intermediate Seifukujutsu, and 3) Advanced Seifukujutsu.  In addition, I have taken continuing education courses from Professor Eddy.

Currently, I live in the Austin, TX area and am training independently.  I subscribe to Grandmaster Chris Thomas' Masterclass and study a wide range of topics including: self-defense, body-mechanics, kata performance, bunkai, tuité,  kyusho-jitsu, and ryukyu kempo.  I am also studying the principles of the Russian martial art, Systema, using instructional materials by Vladimir Vasiliev.  I also practice my Goju-Shorei and Seifukujutsu training.
