Sensei Marta Azzam was the first person to receive the Goju-Shorei challenge coin. All Goju-Shorei Black Belts, whether in Karate, Weapons or Jujitsu will receive one of these coins for each of their Goju-Shorei Black Belts.

So as some of you know, I was forced to have back surgery in September. By October I was completely off of pain meds, though after several years on that terrible stuff, withdrawals were a tough "street-fight". Recently, after training, I've been needing an Aleve but not much else. Yesterday I had a blast, center judging a tournament here in Las Vegas for about nine hours.
