MARTA AZZAM

Marta Azzam was born in Czechoslovakia in 1956. Performed professionally with the Slovakian National Philharmonic Orchestra. Provided critical health care services to many underprivileged communities in several different African nations for more than 5 years. Is a certified tobacco-cessation health educator from Arizona State University. Has a bachelor's degree in Nursing and Public Health. Married with two successful children (one of them in medical school). Started her Goju-Shorei martial arts training in 1994. Was 2005 Instructor of the Year for the American Jujitsu Institute (AJI).

And now, as of June 13, 2010, she can add to her resume that she is 3rd Degree Black Belt (Sanden) in Goju-Shorei Karate.
